Journey to add PMP next to your name...

Before going any further I would like to thank all the author of the links provided in the blog. they have provided a useful information to study and understand the PMP concepts.

Step 1 : 
1)  Note the eligibility requirement for applying for PMP.

Step 2 :
target in 2 weeks to finish the application process.

Step 3 :
Wait for the PMI to accept  your application process.

Step 4 :
once approved FIX A DATE For the exam ( at least 6 + weeks in future).. this is the most important step..

Step 5 :
Develop a Study plan for next 6 + weeks.

Step 6 : 
Find a study partner or a group.for the following reason.
  - keeps you engaged and committed.
  - it is much easier to discuss the flow rather than reading alone.
  - will speed up the process of  understanding various flows.
  

Reading Tips :
  1. Write Table 3.1 from PMBOK book every day.
  2. Write all the formula for Pert, Earned Value.
  3. Prepare your own Brain Dump, lot of examples are available in youtube.
  4. Remember to go over page 350 and 424 onwards in PMBOK guide.
  5. Read PMBOK forward to back and back to forward approach so that you cover all the chapters.if time permits try to follow the above approach twice.

last but not least ... very important

Mental Preparation :::
 
1..visualize seeing Congratulation in the end of the final exam.
2. visualize your name followed by PMP

there are good lot of material to cover, sometime few mock exams will give unsatisfactory results.. but always focus on final exam and visualize that you see "PASS"
